Trauma Informed Care

Trauma-Informed Care (TIC) training for foster and adoptive parents is designed to equip caregivers with the knowledge and skills necessary to understand and respond to the unique emotional and behavioral needs of children who have experienced trauma. This training focuses on recognizing the signs of trauma, understanding its impact on development, and learning strategies to create a safe and supportive environment. By promoting empathy, patience, and a trauma-sensitive approach, TIC helps caregivers build strong, trust-based relationships with children, ultimately fostering healing and resilience. The goal is to empower parents with tools to navigate challenges while ensuring the child feels understood, valued, and supported on their journey toward recovery and stability.
